Everybody needs a buddy to take with them before the Lord. Everybody needs a prayer partner. Everybody needs someone to join forces with them and pray about specifics in their life. You remember Di? My beach bum buddy? You know, my #hashtime friend? Last night after reading yesterday’s devotional she sent me a text and ended it with #teamhash. She and I have called ourselves “team___” whatever is appropriate at the time. I started that a few years ago, stealing it from Caleb. He has jokingly said he was a member of teamscheme. He can charm his way out of a lot and into a lot. He has a charisma that has amazed us since his preteens. He’s a confident young man, handles himself with great poise, looks you square in the eyes, has a firm handshake. Sometimes when I compliment him on that, he grins and says “Teamscheme.” Di and I stole it and now we have our own teams. To name a few, we’ve been a member of teamshape (getting ourselves in “a shape” or a mess), teamslope (sliding down a slippery slope of despair), and now teamhash. If you’re gonna hash things out with the Lord, it’s always good to take someone along for moral support.

On a serious and more spiritual note, the Bible tells us that where two or more are gathered in His name, there He will be in the midst. There is power in numbers. There is strength in numbers. There is support in numbers. If you do not have someone you can take along when you go before the Lord, someone you know you can call on to pray for you and with you, you need to do a friend swap! Everyone needs someone they can join forces with and take their petitions before the Lord. Because sometimes you’re too down to pray for yourself. Sometimes you’re too overwhelmed to pray for yourself. Sometimes you need someone to pray for you. You need someone to hash things out with you and for you. Find a good solid Christian friend and join forces.

“Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them” (Matthew 18:19 & 20).

Love this…

“Epaphras, who is one of you and a servant of Christ Jesus, sends greetings. He is always wrestling in prayer for you, that you may stand firm in all the will of God, mature and fully assured” (Colossians 4:12).

Epaphras is a member of Teamhash!
